Huanghai DD6129CHEV1 hybrid city bus won "Best Model Award" and "Technology Innovation Award" in the 3rd China Energy-saving and New-energy City Bus Innovation Competition held in Hangzhou City.
It's said the model is developed through three-dimension design and analysis software design, based on 12m low-entry MAN city bus. Compared to traditional ones, the new model is lighter and electric power rate is 52.7%, thanks to plug-in hybrid system.
The first cooperation between Huanghai Bus Company and Tangshan Public Transport Company started from the purchase of 10 Huanghai city buses. In September 2009, Tangshan Public Transport Company purchased 50 Huanghai NG buses. Nowadays, there are 1600 Huanghai buses used in Tangshan City, accounting 50% of the total.
