From the Yuchai new energy technology center director Dr. Han ErLiang, it is learned that now the combination of new energy vehicles alliance has been set up after he joined Weichai Group and received the approval from the Weichai Group. And recently, the alliance members came to visit the Cummins, Eton etc foreign famous enterprisers to learn more new advanced technologies and methods.
WN20 powertrain is the product that the alliance specially developed for Yaxing Buses. The powertrain system controls the main controller HCU, engine ECU, motor control unit and battery management unit through the CAN bus communication, allowing the vehicle to achieve conversions between pure electric mode, hybrid mode and Start-Stop mode.
Han Er liang, said that WN20 powertrain will allow JS6126GHEV buses which is equipped with WN20 powertrain to save 30% of the fuel. The fuel costs saved for each bus are 272,000 RMB. During 8 years of operation, it can directly reduce 80 tons of carbon dioxide emission and reach Nation 4 and 5 levels. According to existing national policy, the subsidy of each car can be largely offset by increased costs of new energy buses than traditional buses.
