www.chinabuses.org: Accoring to the data shown that in August 2012, 4,036 units of school buses were sold in China. In Jan.-August, the accumulative sales volume of the school buses are 17,153 units. Though the sales volume of the school buses appears another peak, the sales volume will not keep in so high status all the time. For purchasing school buses, there is lack of the continuous promotion power. In China, it is estimated that the school bus demanding will be over 1 million units. However, in China, at present, there are only about 10,000 units of them are the qualified school buses, which accounts for only 1 percent of the school bus markets.

For the school bus inspection, China will conduct a national school bus management inspection from mid-September to mid-October this year to ensure students' safety, the Ministry of Education (MOE) said on Sept. 18th. The campaign, which is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and another 19 departments, will focus on the implementation of a school bus safety regulation that took effect on April 5, according to the MOE.

Fourteen inspection groups will check to ensure that local governments have established school bus safety management systems, set a reasonable transitional period and made detailed provisions regarding driver qualifications and legal responsibilities.
