www.chinabuses.org: Xiamen Golden Dragon attended the 64th IAA 2012 in Hannover with three bus models, among which two models were newly developed for Europe. During the period of exhibition, Xiamen Golden Dragon introduced “To be Smarter”, its brand proposition, and hybrid technology to visitors and attracted wide attention. The concept of smarter design is fulfilled in all aspects, including Product Safety, Environmental Care, Product Durability, Product Reliability, Pre-sales Solutions and After-sales Service.
The research and development of new energy began as early as 10 years ago at Golden Dragon and Golden Dragon hybrid products have been in service on bus lines in more than 10 cities. The energy recovery efficiency while braking is upgraded to nearly 40%. This makes use of the super capacitor’s rapid charging and discharging characteristics, and achieves an average fuel savings ratio as high as 25% during actual operation. The system also features an exceptional energy savings and emissions reduction effect, which reduces pollutant emissions by upwards of 60%.
“Xiamen Golden Dragon is dedicated in quality improvement, technology innovation and differentiated competition, which leads to the success of this company. We are willing to offer more excellent products and more efficient services to our customers and so as to achieve win-win cooperation”, said Mr. Bao Hongquan, the Assistant General Manager.
Bus model introduction:
XML6125CL—12m low-floor city bus w/ 2+2+2 passenger doors
XML6125CL was developed based on the most popular city bus model in Europe and manufactured according to the EU standards. The design of the whole vehicle highlights environmental protection and reliability concepts, and the main assembly parts are all made by internationally renowned manufacturers, such as Cummins ISB6. 7 series engine (EuroV or EEV) and ZF ECOMAT gearbox. Both the front and rear axles use the ZF RL75EC and ZF AV132 respectively, with high load capacities and a maximum passenger capacity of 94 people. The entrance height is less than 340mm; the door net opening is greater than 1250mm, so as to ensure the passengers can quickly and easily get on and off after the bus stops. The driver’s areas, like the dashboard, are designed by taking full account of man-machine engineering and manipulation functions. They feature both reasonable design and convenient manipulation. The spacious side windscreens on both sides provide good visual fields for passengers.
Explorer—12m luxury coach
The design of “Explorer” is based on the demands of travelers and the long-distance bus market. Its high-impact appearance design was created by the European Design Studio. The application of cathodic electrophoresis treatment on the complete bus, together with the monocoque assembly process, guarantees anti-corrosion property of bus body for more than 10 years. It is equipped with the ZF8098 steering system, Voith hydraulic retarder, six airbags and electronically controlled air suspension (ECAS). It also comes with an optional ZF manual or automatic transmission. It provides full consideration to passenger comfort and the driving control experience, while ensuring both vehicle performance and economical efficiency. The “Explorer” can be equipped with a variety of engines - from 340 hp to 420 hp - so it can meet the power needs for a variety of weather and road conditions.
