School Bus Sales Contributes 2012 China Bus Industry

In 2012, the accumulative sales of bus and coaches were 255,000 units, which increased by 5.4 percent.. The large bus sales growth mainly cone from city buses. The sales of the coaches were slightly decreased. The sales growth of school buses contributed to the sales growth of medium and small buses.


In Dec., 2,918 school buses were sold, which was the second highest monthly sales in 2012. The accumulative sales volumes of school buses were 27,000, which accounted for 10.6 percent in the total sales volume of buses. School bus segment market is now the potential in China bus industry.  In Dec. 3,885 buses & coaches were exported, which increased by 65.7 percent. And in 2012, 33,000 buses & coaches were exported, which increased by 25.0 percent.


In 2013, the government policies will contribute to the development of the China bus industry. On Dec. 29th 2012, the policy of priority development on city public transport guidance was released. The government will promote the public transportation construction which contributes to the fast development of the bus industry. It is estimated that the sales growth of bus will be above 15 percent.
