600 New Energy City Buses to Add in Shijiazhuang in 2013

www.chinabuses.org: Shijiazhuang City Bus Demonstration Project was passed in recent municipal government meeting, and 600 new energy city buses will be added in 2013, and all the supervisory control will cover all the city bus lines to make sure the lines don't be taken by private passenger cars.
It will take five years for Shijiazhuang to build city bus city, and public transport rate will amount to 60% till 2017, and 98% citizens can find city bus stops within 500m.
The new energy city buses will provide safe, comfortable, and energy-saving public transport, and 90% of the buses are green types. More than 20 city buses will be owned by 10,000 citizens, and there will be 6,000 city buses till 2017.
Six BRT city bus lines will be built based on new railway station and the total journey will amount to 146km.
