Fast Development
Ankai Buses came into the market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange in July 1997. In July 2003, Ankai Bus joined Jiangqi Group. Until 2011, the total assets of Ankai Bus were RMB 3.586 Billion, covering an area of 983,000 m2 and with over 4,000 employees. Its production capacity of buses and chassis are 20,000 units.
Not everything goes smoothly so does the Ankai’s development history. A group data showed its changes. In 2001, the sales revenue of Ankai Bus was 840 million Yuan with only selling just hundreds of buses. But in 2011, the sales revenue of Ankui Bus was RMB 5.88 million, with 9.9 percent of year-on-year growth. And it sold 11,700 units of buses, which increased by 16.85 percent over 2010.
Luxurious Brand Upgrade
In the early year, Ankai Bus cooperated with German famous bus builder – Kassbohrer, which made Ankai going on the way of manufacturing luxurious buses in China.
In 1996, when the first Ankai luxurious buses equipping with toilet, air condition, TV and Karaoke etc appeared in Chengyu Highway, many people were astonished at it. After years’ of development and re-innovation, Ankai Bus applied its monocoque body structure technology into different products and developed a series of city buses, tourist buses, BRT buses and new energy buses etc.
Exports Makes its Differentiation
In recent years, Ankai buses’ exporting is a big leap-type for the Ankai development. In 2007, it almost did not export buses to overseas. Latter, it exported small quantity to American high-end market. And then, it exported 3,000 school buses to Saudi Arabia; 350 coaches to Russia, 575 natural gas buses to Pakistan, 20 tourist double-deck buses to London… Among the orders, the 3,000 school buses exporting Saudi Arabia is the biggest order among the China school bus exporting orders.
The Leading Place in New Energy Bus Industry
Until 2012, there are more than 1,000 Anaki new energy buses into operation in Beijing City, Shanghai City, Hefei City etc., 27 cities as trial operation. The highest operation mileages of one new energy bus are over 160,000 kilometers. And now some of Ankai Bus’s technologies in new energy buses are in the leading place. And there are 46 Ankai new energy buses are now in the list of Ministry of Industry Product Report.
