In response to market requirements on environmental protection, Foton AUV plunged into the R&D of new-energy buses eight years ago. "Zhilan" brand and EV-series of products are the latest achievements on the technical platform.
It's said "Zhilan" brand consists of three series of EV, HEV and PHEV products, standing for Foton's most stable, reliable and energy-efficient technologies in core parts such as electronic control system, battery and motor, etc.
After five-year expansion, Foton AUV sold over 2000 new-energy buses in Beijing, Jinan, Kunming, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Changsha and Taiwan, etc.
Data from MIIT shows that output of new-energy vehicles increases by 94% in 2012. 13.3 thousand pure-electric vehicles, 10.4 thousand regular hybrid vehicles and over 1000 plug-in hybrid vehicles were produced.
After in-depth analysis, Foton AUV developes the hybrid, pure-electric, plug-in and fast-charging buses with the most advanced technologies. And the release of "Zhilan" indicates the Foton's ability and ambition to bellwether the new-energy bus field.
