As petroleum resource is increasingly reducing, the international energy tension intensifies. Every country is positively looking for alternative resources. Thus, new energy bus attracts more and more attentions in many countries. In China, the worsening environment, haze, traffic jam pushed governments to promote the development of public transportation and advocate new energy buses. This provides good opportunity for the new energy vehicle industry.
Different from diesel, CNG, a natural gas fuel, mixes better with air, resulting in better combustion, and causes less emission of hazardous substance. No carbon deposit will form in a natural gas engine, this way, engine fraction is reduced, saving maintenance costs; also, the fuel costs is much less for a natural gas bus than a diesel bus. According to statistics, in 2012, a total of 33527 natural gas buses were sold, a rise of 77.98%, 15 times that of the industry, accounting for 13.15% of total sales number, rising from 7.78% of last year. 31 out of 50 bus makers are making natural gas buses. Most of the first batch of 15 “public transporting cities” introduced clean energy buses as the major force of transporting.
Huanghai bus, a famous brand in China, has been striving to build “the number one city bus brand in China”. It has uncomparable advantage in the industry. By practicing the idea of “in-depth R&D, moderately excessive”, every new mode of Huanghai enjoys high market recognition. In 2007, Huanghai worked together with Guiyang bus company to launch LNG bus, which is more advanced than CNG bus in terms of technology. And now, Huanghai boasts a product range of more than 40 CNG/LNG models, with a length between 8 meters and 18 meters. The products are widely used in city bus companies across the country.
Huanghai has always been favored in big events. In early 2006, a tender conference was held to choose bus for Beijing Olympic Games, which came as a big news in the industry. After competing with more than 30 bus makers from China, Huanghai successfully won a tender for 956 buses, 100 chassis, becoming the biggest supplier for bus. In the three years that follows, more than 3000 buses directly served the Beijing Olympic Games. Also, more than 2000 buses were used in assistant cities of Shenyang, Tianjin, Qingdao and Shanghai. Huanghai bus made appearance in every event including the Harbin Winter Universiade, Jinan National Games, Shanghai World Expo, Xi’An World Landscape Art Expo.
The model for Jinzhou is DD6129B30, which adopts the classic designing of Huanghai. The engine for the bus is large –capacity natural gas engine that meets the China IV standards, which is economy and emit less. The CNG gas tank is situated at the bottom, which is convenient for refueling and maintenance. The rack and bus body is light-weighted. Besides, the interior trim parts are non-toxic, environmentally-friendly, creating a healthy surroundings for passengers. Also, personalized parts are used in many parts of the bus.
