300 City Buses in Xiangtan to Use Clean Energy

www.chinabuses.org: It is learned from Xiangtan that four vehicle emission test centers will be used to solve the emission pollution of city buses in Xiangtan.
90% of the city buses are using natural gas or hybrids, and there are eight public transport companies and just one of which are operated by state.
Some of the city buses are fuelling diesel gases and they cannot meet national 3 emission standards, and black smoke can be emitted when start-up or speeding up. The aging fuel injection system led to effective atomization of fuels, and it is easy to accumulate carbons inside the machine, and this is part of the reason why the city buses can emit black smokes.
"There are much black particles and possibly some carcinogenic substances, " said Long Wu, Vehicle Emission Stewardship Portal, "30% of PM2.5 can be attributed to auto emissions. "
There are 831 city buses running in Xiangtan, 300 of which have been transformed to use clean energy.
