At present, there are over 310 pneumoelectric hybrid buses and gas buses in Dongying, taking up more than a half of the total number of public transit buses. In 2013, newly increases buses in Dongying are all clean-energy buses, in which 60 pneumoelectric hybrid buses are to be used. There are more than 3,400 taxies in the city and the substituting gas rate is 100%. In addition, another 49 LNG buses, 62 CNG buses, and 131 LNG trucks are increased. Compared with gasoline and diesel vehicles, clean-energy vehicles are not only of outstanding environmental benefit but also are with economical efficiency saving 20% cost per hundred kilometers.
The widespread application of clean-energy vehicles is a symbol of basic formation of Dongying “green cycling low-carbon transport system”, which greatly reduced tail gas emission and pollution to the environment, and guaranteed trail gas emission up to standard from the origin.
