In 2011, Zhongtong Bus made the second round of enterprise restructuring and development as its new mission. Focusing on optimizing its enterprise structure, improving the quality of its vehicle products, enhancing its overall efficiency, the company aimed at transforming itself into a brand new modern company with state-of-art enterprise governance and achieving more sustainable development. In 2014, Zhongtong’s overseas market witnessed significant expansion and its total export volume grew by over 90% year on year. Its revenue made in the overseas market went up by 37.23% year on year, far above the industrial average.

At the ceremony, Sun Qingmin made a keynote speech and he pointed out that Zhongtong Bus is committed to building itself as a world-class company. In the past decade, the bus maker has never been relenting its efforts to its cause of internationalization. Since its debut in the global market in 2003, Zhongtong has gradually won recognition from customers across the globe thanks to its reliable quality and professional services. Currently, Zhongtong boasts a solid presence in over 80 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, America, Oceania and Africa. Yu Chunyin, Deputy General Manager of Zhongtong Bus also made a brief introduction of the company’s history in its globalization. According to him, the bus maker exported its first bus in 2003, marking a brand new age of development. In 2006, the company was selected as the first batch of enterprises entitled for whole vehicle export. Since then, the company has been representing the highest bus making technologies for China in the global market. After reviewing its history, Mr. Yu expressed his full confidence in the company’s future development in the global market.

 The export of Zhongtong’s 20,000th bus to the overseas market is a new milestone in the history of the company. It is the result of the staff’s hard work from Zhongtong and fully demonstrates the company’s rising influence in the global market. With the delivery, the bus maker’s overseas market share will rise from 10% in 2011 to about 20%, representing a huge leap forward to its globalization and giving its overall public image a big boost.

 In recent years, Zhongtong has gradually moving from a business “hunter” to a business “farmer”, with its focus from seeking new business to cultivating business. By building its service networks and taking full advantage of the local market, the company is trying its best to expand its presence. Since 2012, the bus maker has been further subdividing its markets and has set up over 20 company-level key markets and overseas key markets. In 2014, the company made an impressive achievement in the overseas market. It delivered 2,186 units school buses to Saudi Arabia in 45 days, with a total export revenue of 150 million USD. The deal also made four new records in the industry, including the largest school bus order ever in China’s international trade, China’s first batch of bus export to Saudi Arabia, the largest export volume in China, and the shortest delivery time in China’s bus industry.

According to Mr. Yu, the export of high-class buses to Africa is the company’s first batch of export in 2015. To well adjust to the local operating and road environments, the buses delivered to its customers in Africa features multi models, unique designs and tailor-made characteristics. During the production, the African customers also made requests for design adjustments. Despite all this, Zhongtong successfully accomplished its task and delivered its products on time to its customers in Africa.
