www.chinabuses.org: In 2014, China’s well-known bus maker Yutong topped the world’s list of the bus sales by selling over 60,000 units. In the same year, the company sold 13,798 units of new energy vehicles. No other companies in the world have so far achieved such an impressive achievement.

Back in 1993, Yutong was still a comparatively small bus factory with an annual sales volume of less than 700 units. At that time, the company only had 18 technicians. Twenty-two years later, the company’s sales have grown by 87 times and its products can be found in over 120 countries and regions across the globe. Moreover, it has expanded itself into the world’s largest bus manufacturing base with the most advanced technologies. Currently, the company boasts over 2,500 professional technical workers and it allocates more than 3% of its turnover for research & development.

Behind its impressive performance are the hard work and concerted efforts made by all employees from Yutong. Take the electrophoresis in Yutong’s production workshop for example, a Yutong bus usually has to go through 16 processing procedures, including pre-treatment, phosphatization, post-treatment, etc. To better suit the muggy weather in Cuba, Venezuela and other places in the world and prevent its bus fleets from rusting, the company has established a special cathodic electrophoresis automatic production line, the first of its kind in China’s bus industry. Such state-of-art manufacturing facilities ensure the smooth operation of Yutong vehicles and significantly strengthen their durability. Thus, a Yutong bus is rust-proof for at least eight years.

In 2011, Yutong made an investment of 3.86 billion RMB to set up an energy-saving and new energy bus production base, which is capable of rolling out 30,000 buses every year. Currently, the new energy buses promoted by Yutong are able to cut carbon dioxide by 464,000 tons every year, which is the amount absorbed by a broadleaf forest with an area of 1,272 hectors.

How can Yutong create such a growth miracle? “It’s because we are fully committed to bringing more added value to our customers,” proudly says Tang Yuxiang, President of the bus maker. Besides, the customer satisfaction, as the very foundation of Yutong after-sale services, guarantees the continued sound development of the giant bus maker.
