Yu Jianshan, General Manager of Meizhou Public Transport which belongs to Putian Public Transport Group, says that the batch of Golden Dragon electric buses has not only brought tangible economic benefits for his company, but they have also greatly upgraded the overall level of comforts and safety standards of the local bus fleet, providing strong backup for the local government's effort to build the island into a 5A scenic spot.
According to Mr. Yu, the 8.2-meter Golden Dragon electric bus is able to load 60 passengers. Equipped with an engine powered by storage batteries, the vehicle is able to drive 130 kilometers continuously with a maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour. It can be recharged by fast-recharging mode during the daytime and slow-recharging mode during the night. For the last nine months, the 36 units Golden Dragon electric buses have made no record of any troubles. With an eight-year quality guarantee, the bus maker is always ready to offer spare parts replacement for those quick-wear parts. Thus, the customer on Meizhou Island has nothing to worry about.
