KION’s $2.1 Billion Acquisition of Dematic

www.chinabuses.org: Weichai announced that its subsidiary KION signed contract with Dematic on the night of June 21. KION’s $2.1 billion acquisition of Dematic will pay for cash. KION plans to borrow 3 billion euro as the payment of the acquisition. Weichai Power holds 38.3% stake of KION which is the largest single shareholder. This acquisition has benefit for Weichai enter into American market.
Dematic is a world's leading supplier with highly integrated automation technology, software and services to optimize the supply chain and meet customers’ material transportation needs. Its products and systems covers a wide range from automatic guided vehicle to pallet type stacking machine.
Dematic users include Ford, Harry electric bicycle, Amazon and WAL-MART. Dematic achieved operating income of $1 billion 800 million in 2015. The two companies combined annual income of 6 billion 700 million euro, adjusted the core profit rate is 9.4%, the global employment are 30 thousand employees.
Dematic has a global engineering center and manufacturing base, and build more than 100 positions in 22 countries around the world. They have provided over 4500 integrated systems for globe kinds of industries.
