“No matter the travel coaches or city buses, they are predominantly branded with Yutong. It is obvious that Yutong is far ahead of its competitors in this country. Statistics show that Yutong’s market share has already reached over 90%, which is very impressive,” says Zhang. When U.S. president Barack Obama visited Cuba, Yutong buses were also present to deliver transportation services. Not only that, Yutong has never been absent when Cuba is receiving foreign guests. The presence of Chinese bus brand at these important diplomatic occasions has made the ambassador very proud.
Some Yutong buses have already or almost been driven for one million kilometers, a hallmark of high quality and high reliability. At a party jointly held by Yutong and Cuba-based Astro Company in 2012, Vice Minister of Cuban Ministry of Transportation called Yutong buses the king on Cuban roads, revealed ambassador Zhang.
In addition, Zhang says that Yutong buses not only provide a host of travel comforts for passengers, they also deliver impressive performances when climbing slopes.
When Venezuelan leaders visited Cuba, they were greatly impressed by Yutong buses. As a result, Venezuela soon introduced Yutong buses. “Now, as far as I know, Yutong buses have reached over 6,000 units in Venezuela, more than the number in Cuba”, said Zhang, who once was Chinese ambassador to Venezuela.

In Latin America, Yutong’s total export volume exceeded 16,000 units with a total value of 1.4 billion USD.
