www.chinabuses.org: On March 17, Ankai, together with Anhui Public Transportation Group Chaohu Passenger Transportation Co., Ltd. and several government agencies, officially launched “School Bus Safety Education Campaign” in Huanglu Prmiary School in Chaohu.
At the launching ceremony, Cha Baoying, General Manager of Ankai, says “the company’s vision is to produce better products and help build a more harmonious society”. Through the “School Bus Safety Education Campaign”, Mr. Cha sincerely hopes that more students, more parents, and the general public will be with a heightened awareness to ensure the safety journey of all kids to and from school.
Apart from the emergency evacuation drill, Ankai employees also went to the classrooms to give school bus safety lectures to all students. Through pictures and stories, students have become more aware of protecting themselves when traveling on the road.
School bus safety has long been a major concern for governments at various levels, schools, bus makers and bus operators. As one of the leading bus makers in China, Ankai has been actively involved in shouldering more social responsibilities and safeguarding the safety of kids on the road.
As early as 2012, Ankai rolled out a charity program on campus, sending the company’s love to school kids. In 2014, the bus maker’s “Ankai Beautiful China Tour” was themed with “School Bus Safety”, which became a platform for holding discussion about the future development of China’s school bus industry. In July 2015, Ankai released China’s first Bus Safety Development Initiative, calling for more efforts on improving the general public’s awareness of bus safety. In 2016, Ankai donated stationeries and school bags worth 100,000 RMB to those left-behind students in many rural areas across China. Apart from all those mentioned above, Ankai has also been involved in a number of charity programs, building music halls for primary schools in poverty-stricken areas in Anhui and multi-media classrooms for Yingxiu Middle School after the earthquake.
