www.chinabuses.org: According to some statistics, over ten newly developed buses made their debut from January to May this year, including Yutong C12, King Long Longwin II, Higer Haiyue, Ankai A9, North BFC6125, Huanghai MPB, BYD6100, Golden Dragon XML6729 gas-fueld Kast, Yutong diesel-fueled T7, Shuchi 8-meter electric bus, Foton fuel cell bus, Zhongtong fuel cell bus, and Wuzhoulong 8.5-meter fuel cell bus.
Also from January to May, a total number of 11 M&As and restructurings were made in China’s bus industry. Among them, six bus manufacturers and five manufacturers of new energy bus spare parts were involved.
In the same period this year, a total number of 22 policies concerning China’s bus industry were rolled out, including 14 ones which are mainly targeted at the new energy bus market and three focusing on promoting the overall development of the industry.
In terms of export, Yutong sold 3,813 units of buses with a total value of 1.79 billion RMB abroad, ranking the first place among all bus makers in China. Another highlight in the overseas market is that a total number of 2,000 units buses (including 1,000 units Foton buses, 500 units Ankai buses and 500 units Yutong buses) were exported to Myanmar early this year.
Also from January to May, the number of major orders with their purchasing volume exceeding 100 units buses reached 16. Orders like 1,100 units BYD buses from Shaanxi province and 1,000 units CRRC buses from Hubei province are very eye-catching.
Also in the first five months, the total sales revenue of buses measuring five meters in length and above reached 19,167 billion RMB. In the same period, China’s bus sales volume stood at 57,931 units, including 14,252 units city buses, 34,353 units travel coaches, 7,304 units school buses and 2,202 units special vehicles.
