On August 10, a grand ceremony was held at Xiamen Port to mark the shipping of the third batch of 34 units 9-meter King Long buses to Bolivia. At the ceremony, Li Huiyao, vice mayor of Xiamen, handed the golden key to Luis Rebia, the mayor of La Paz, the capital city of Bolivia.
In 2013, 61 units 11-meter King Long buses arrived in Bolivia for operation, ushering a brand new era for the country’s public transportation. Since then, King Long has gradually strengthened its presence in the country. Currently, the passenger transportation services on seven bus routes are provided by King Long buses.
Thanks to the introduction of King Long buses, the capital city La Paz has significantly improved its city image. In 2017, the city was awarded as The City with the Best Public Transport Solutions in South America by South American Association of Transportation.
So far, King Long has made its way to 136 countries and regions across the world, boasting an accumulated export volume of over 80,000 units. In the first half of this year, the bus maker’s export volume reached 4,759 units, ranking the first place among all bus makers in China. In the same period, its sales venues from the overseas market reached 1.06 billion RMB.
“Since we started exploring the overseas markets 18 years ago, we have been constantly gaining popularity in the international market. Just like what we have been doing, we will continue to be committed to providing higher quality bus products and better services to our customers across the globe,” said Simon Xie, Chief Director of King Long’s Overseas Marketing Department.(www.chinabuses.org)
