In January, 2019, Foton secured an order of 2,790 units AUV buses from Beijing Public Transport Group. In the same month, its sales volume reached 37,063 units, up by 9.19% year on year; Its sales volume of mid- and heavy-duty trucks reached 8,158 units, up by 4.43% year on year; its sales volume of light trucks stood at 24,537 units, up by 24.84% year on year.

In response to Beijing Municipal Government’s call for more sustained and robust growth, Foton has been taken a series of measures to strengthen its overall competitiveness in the market and increase its sales.

“To make a good start and lay a solid foundation for our business expansion in the whole year, we have taken a number of concrete measures to improve our corporate management, better our customer services and increase both our production and sales volume,” said Gong Yueqiong, General Manager of Foton.

“To improve the overall quality of all our products remains our top priority. Measures have been taken from product design, raw material procurement to manufacturing process. In the meantime, through promoting more scientific and more effective management, we aim to further cut our costs. By taking full advantage of latest technologies, we are committed to providing vehicles with much higher connectivity and maneuverability and pushing forward our business transformation,” Mr. Gong revealed.

Currently, Foton boasts a wide spectrum of new energy vehicles powered by hydrogen fuels, electricity and other forms of cleaner energy. All these vehicles with National VI Emission Standards are set to provide more customized transportation solutions to suit customers’ rising demands.
