Despite the sluggish market conditions, Higer officially rolled out its integrated smart transportation solution for scenic areas in Guangzhou on March 28 this year.
Since its establishment over two decades ago, Higer has been gaining a fast growing popularity in the travel coach market. With a wide spectrum of classic coach models, the bus maker is now committed to making its vehicles smarter. As early as 2010, it developed G-BOS Intelligent Operation System, ushering a brand new era for commercial vehicles. As the internet becomes more accessible, it later developed Travel Coach Operation System I and II to suit the special needs of scenic areas.
On April 11, Higer signed a strategic cooperation agreement with BIT New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly build China’s first New Energy Public Transportation Operation System, further improving the overall intelligence level of China’s public transportation.
On April 16, the opening day of 2019 Shanghai International Automobile Exhibition, Higer signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Automobile Technological Research Center and Tianjin Qingyuan Automobile. Later, the three parties jointly released an autonomous driving bus Pro-Blue with L4 level. Equipped with several key technologies independently developed by Higer, Pro-Blue fully represents the latest technological achievements in China’s commercial vehicle industry.
In the first quarter of 2019, Higer exported over 700 units buses and coaches abroad. After securing an order of 200 units buses from Russia, it delivered 117 units buses to its customers in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Siberia. According to the bus maker, over 5,000 units Higer buses and coaches have made their way to Russia since 2005, becoming the first bus brand in the country.
On April 25, Higer signed a sales contract with a total value of over 300 million RMB with its customer in Serbia, the largest bus order ever from Europe. As early as 2016, Higer super-capacitor buses entered Serbia, helping the brand gain a high public recognition in the country.
Currently, the number of Higer buses and coaches operating smoothly in the overseas markets is approaching 50,000 units. The brand has already made its presence in over 120 countries and regions across the globe.
