Recently, Anhui Provincial Commission of Development and Reform and Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Bureau conducted thorough assessments of Anhui Provincial Electric Bus Engineering Lab (hereafter referred to as the lab) and Anhui New Energy Commercial Vehicle Engineering Research Center (hereafter referred to as the center), both of which were established by Ankai. After the assessments, both the lab and the center won unanimous acclaims from all the judges in the panel.
After five decades development, Ankai has established a solid reputation in China’s auto industry. In recent years, the bus maker has been making relentless efforts in developing new energy vehicles and promote their commercialization. The lab and the center are established to strengthen its overall competitiveness in the new energy vehicle sector.
Since their establishment, the lab and the center have carried out five state- and provincial-level research programs and 11 sino-foreign cooperation programs. Moreover, they have obtained 102 national patents, including 23 invention patents.
With the full supports of the lab and the center, Ankai has successfully developed 6-12 meter electric city buses, travel coaches, commute buses, 10-12 meter plug-in hybrid city buses, 7-12 meter fuel cell buses and intelligent buses. By making constant innovations and integrating the latest 5G and IoV technologies with buses, Ankai has developed its sixth generation electric buses and fuel cell buses.
By cooperating with Tsinghua University, Tongji University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Hefei University of Technology, Anhui University, Ankai has rolled out the fourth generation vehicle control systems, aluminum-cased permanent magnetic synchronous electric motors, ISG plug-in hybrid power systems, high-performance electric bus driving platforms, etc.
