On May 1, Higer Level4 5G autonomous driving buses Pro-Blue started operation in Wujiang District, Suzhou. Without bus drivers and dashboards, two units Pro-Blue buses provided transportation services at the east bank of Taihu Lake with a one-way trip of 5.5 km. Working from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, the bus has set a loading cap of six passengers.

With spacious room, Pro-Blue is equipped with a number of radars and cameras, which are like the eyes of the bus and help the bus perform such complicated tasks as steering. A safety guard has been stationed on board. In case of emergencies, the guard will take over and ensure the smooth operation of the bus.

Jointly promoted by Higer, China Mobile Group Jiangsu Branch, Yangtze River Delta Investment Development (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Pro-Blue measures 4.33 meters in length, 2.06 meters in width and 2.63 meters in height. It boasts a loading capacity of 14 passengers. Realizing L4-level autonomous driving, it can reach a maximum speed of 30 km/h.

Having obtained over 70 patents for intelligent buses, Higer has been long been committed to promoting intelligently driving buses. By working closely with Huawei and China Mobile, Higer has rolled out V2X, C-V2X, sensor integration technologies, bus fleet coordination & control technologies, driving safety and information security technologies, fully ensuring the smooth and safe operation of its autonomous driving buses.
