In response to the outbreak of COVID-19 in earlier 2020, Golden Dragon immediately built negative pressure ambulances to fight against the virus. It also successfully developed Kangda Intelligent Working Stations, which can quickly take people’s temperatures and thoroughly sanitize such public venues as schools, office buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, etc.
In addition, it has successfully developed CT health vehicles, which provides more convenient health check for people.
With emerging trends in the public transport sector, Golden Dragon has rolled out Astar mini-buses for the last-mile urban public transport.
On Dec. 31, 2019, Golden Dragon Longhai Production Base rolled out its first Astar electric bus, marking the official operation of the new production base. Covering an area of 2,100 mu and a building area of 600,000 square meters, Longhai Production Base is able to produce 20,000 units large- and medium-sized buses & coaches each year. Boasting a number of advanced technologies, it is set to playing a vital role for Golden Dragon’s business expansion in the near future.
“Despite all challenges, we remain true to our original aspirations and has been continuously strengthening our overall competitiveness in the bus market”, said Peng Dongqing, president of Golden Dragon.
Going global has always been on the top agenda in Golden Dragon’s history. Since 2003, the bus maker has made its presence in 120 countries and regions across the world with an accumulated export volume of over 60,000 units buses & coaches.
In 2019, Golden Dragon delivered impressive performances in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Pakistan, Tanzania, Philippines, etc. In 2020, 60 units Golden Dragon 18-meter BRT city buses powered by natural gas were exported to Kazakhstan for operation and 1,000 units Hiace mini-buses were delivered to Egypt. In the same year, the bus maker secured several major bus orders from customers in Philippines.
