On February 26, 42 units 12-meter Ankai electric city buses officially started operation on bus route No. 5 and No. 53 in Yantai, Shandong Province, further upgrading the city’s public transport network.

According to sources, No. 5 bus route in Yantai has a one-way distance of 18.5 kilometers whereas No. 53 bus route has a one-way distance of 20.2 kilometers, both connecting several commercial areas, schools and residential areas and thus providing greener transportation services and much more travel conveniences for local residents.

“The new (Ankai) bus is really much better that what we had in the past. It has air-conditioners and USB portals. More importantly, it is very spacious and drives very smoothly”, said a passenger surnamed Wang.
