Recently, 153 units Golden Dragon Polestar 8.8-meter electric city buses officially started operation in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, providing greener and more convenient transportation services for local residents.

Particularly targeted at the high-end market, Polestar electric city bus has a uniquely attractive appearance, achieves higher intelligence and boasts a larger loading capacity. Coated in the signature blue color, the bus has further streamlined its body. Fully taking senior citizen’s needs into consideration, it has one-step low floor access with a boarding height of less than 340 mm. Its aisle, measuring 850 mm in width, is wider than those of its counterparts, thus providing much more conveniences for passengers with wheelchairs or baby-strollers. Also, there are emergency medical kit and seats for special passengers. In addition, the body of the Polestar can lean towards the door and further lowers the boarding access to 200 mm.

To ensure the smooth operation of all the 153 units Polestar electric city buses, Golden Dragon religiously implemented product lifecycle management (PLM), ensuring efficient personnel distribution, vehicles’ timely health check and availability of spare parts.

In response to the scorching heat and heavy rains in summer in Fuzhou, Golden Dragon has held special training sessions for bus drivers, allowing them to deepen their understanding of the structure of electric buses and further improve their driving skills.

Fuzhou launched its first electric bus route in 2014. By working closely with Golden Dragon, the city has been constantly upgrading its public transport network. Thanks to the relentless efforts made by Fuzhou public transport sector, the city has been witnessing a growing number of days with blue sky. Currently, over nine out of the ten buses in the city are powered by clean energy or new energy.
