Recently, 120 units Foton AUV BJ6123 hybrid city buses arrived in Chongqing for operation, further upgrading the city’s public transport network and providing greener and more convenient transportation services to local residents. According to Chongqing Public Transport, all the new hybrid buses have already been put into service on twelve major bus routes in the urban areas in Chongqing.

Equipped with an electric direct drive system and a permanent magnetic synchronous electric motor, the bus has a more compact structure and helps bus operators further cut their operation costs.

Measuring 12-meter in length, 2.55-meter in width and less-than-3.3-meter in height, Foton AUVBJ6123 hybrid city bus is able to drive over 250 km continuously. To ensure its smooth operation and the highest level of safety standards, the bus has a real-time driver’s monitoring system, a lane deviation alarming system, a front collision alarming system and a dangerous-chemicals detection system. According to Foton AUV, it delivered 70 units BJ6105 city buses to Chongqing in 2019, 30 units BJ6122 intercity buses in 2020, 16 units BJ6600 electric intercity buses in 2021 and 10 units BJ6105 hydrogen fuel cell city buses in October, 2021.
