On November 6, the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) officially kicked off in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. As the only bus brand from China, Higer delivered 30 units electric buses to provide zero-emission transportation services for the high-profile event. The bus maker has also presented to the world Chinese solutions for future public transport.
According to Higer, it launched a KD project in Egypt in 2020 to produce electric buses locally in Egypt. After the assembly of the first unit Higer electric bus in Egypt, it was immediately put into operation. Thanks to its high reliability and consistently smooth performance, the bus has gained full recognition from the local environmental protection department, transportation department and bus operators.
In 2022, Egyptian leaders paid a visit to Higer’s production facilities in the country. During the visit, Egyptian government placed an order of 30 units electric buses on Higer.
According to Higer, its electric buses serving COP27 have a number of customized features to suit the special occasion. The bus maker has a team of after-sales service engineers stationed at the conference venue to provide timely services.
“Public transport shoulders huge responsibilities in helping cities across the world cut carbon emissions. By working closely with Egyptian government and local bus operators, we are committed to helping our customers build more environmentally sustainable public transport network”, said Xia Guolin, General Manager of Higer Africa.
As one of the pioneers in the new energy bus industry, Higer has so far delivered over 30,000 units new energy buses to its customers in 130+ countries and regions across the globe, providing greener and more convenient transportation services for millions of passengers.
