As the 19th Asian Games is approaching, a batch of brand new Higer mini-buses recently appeared in Hangzhou and Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, providing more convenient and more intelligent transportation services for passengers. Equipped with a host of advanced technologies, including laser-radars, millimeter-wave radars and cameras, etc., Higer mini-bus has fully integrated itself with the road and communication facilities and thus achieve 100% autonomous driving.
In Deqing County, Huzhou, a special 5G bus route officially started service. Working on this line are Higer mini-buses with L4 autonomous driving mini-buses. Measuring 6.5-meter in length, Higer mini-bus has 11 seats on board and can load a maximum of 30 passengers. With a maximum speed of over 50 km/h, the vehicle is monitored by a safety guard who is entirely freed from all the tiring driving work of bus drivers.
According to China Mobile Zhejiang Branch, the bus route launched its free service for the public in July, 2022. With a one-way distance of 10 km, it has 9 stations. With some competition venues for the Asian Games along the bus route, including Deqing Sports Center, Deqing Basketball Court, etc., Higer autonomous driving mini-buses usher in a brand new era of intelligent public transport.
