On October 17 and 18, the third Belt & Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) was held in Beijing. Leaders from all Belt & Road countries vowed to strengthen their cooperation in green infrastructure construction, green energy and green transportation.
As one of the leading players in China’s new energy bus industry, Foton AUV have its BJ6126 hydrogen fuel cell buses provide transportation services for the high-profile event, showcasing China’s hydrogen powered transportation solutions for a new era of green mobility.
Having been actively involved in developing and marketing new energy buses, Foton AUV is committed to leading the green development of the public transport in the world. By closely cooperating with Tsinghua University and SinoHytec, it has successfully made a host of major technological breakthroughs. So far, the bus maker has rolled out its fifth generation hydrogen fuel cell buses. Besides, it has built China’s first hydrogen fuel cell bus production base integrating the development and production of hydrogen fuel cell buses as well the production, storage and supply of hydrogen. After completing the project of Application of the Key Technologies for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Buses, Foton AUV won the First Prize for China Automobile Industry Technological Innovation.
In 2021, Foton AUV revealed U Degree, a comprehensive heat management technology for hydrogen fuel cell buses. According to the bus maker, U Degree enables buses to operate smoothly with a temperature range from -35°C to 50°C and at the same time cut energy consumption by 7.6%. After its release, the new technology has already had revolutionary impacts on the world’s hydrogen powered vehicle industry. Foton hydrogen fuel cell buses have successfully gone through a series of stringent tests in extreme working conditions in Inner Mongolia and Hainan.
Since making their debut at Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Foton AUV hydrogen fuel cell buses have become the must-have carrier for many domestic and international events. In 2010, 196 units Foton AUV hydrogen fuel cell buses were put into service at World Expo in Shanghai. At Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, 515 units hydrogen fuel cell buses, providing smooth transportation for both athletes and passengers, made a number of new records.
