On September 4, the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation opened in Beijing with great fanfare. As the largest diplomatic event hosted by China in recent years, with the highest attendance of foreign leaders, the Forum witnesses the gathering of China and Africa to strengthen friendship, hold discussions on cooperation and envision the future, aiming to build a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future through comprehensive cooperation.

In 2004, Higer Bus set sail for the beautiful land of Africa, following the footsteps of the national strategy. After 20 years of deep cultivation and exploration, HIGER Bus has exported more than 14,000 buses to 40 countries in the African market. While assisting in the flourishing development of the public transportation market in Africa, it has also created a resplendent chapter of "China-Africa cooperation" in the bus industry.

In Algeria, Higer Bus has exported over 9,000 buses since 2005, with a market share exceeding 90%. Algeria is not only Higer's largest overseas market in terms of existing quantity, the brand Higer is also rightfully recognized as the leading bus brand in Algeria. The introduction of Higer buses has greatly improved the public transportation situation in major cities of Algeria, bringing tangible sense of well-being and satisfaction to the Algerian people.

In 2007, Higer made an impressive achievement by exporting 500 fuel-powered minibuses to the Ethiopian market, marking it as the largest single order of Chinese buses exported to Ethiopia. Notably, these 500 vehicles have been operating safely for 15 years. In 2023, 200 Higer luxury natural gas-powered buses were exported to Ethiopia, with the purpose of specifically improving the public transit in the capital city, Addis Ababa, which will contribute to the enhancement of the local public transport system. In 2024, Higer will launch new energy products tailored for the Ethiopian market. These products will be exported to Ethiopia, playing a pivotal role in catalyzing the local transport system in the green transformation towards new energy. In addition to that, Higer has also tailored new energy products for other African countries, including Rwanda and the Republic of South Africa.

As the promotion of new energy products gains momentum in the African market, Higer's after-sales service network in Africa continues to evolve and improve. Besides providing spare parts, establishing repair stations, conducting specialized service training, and deploying personnel for on-site support in case of emergency for exported vehicles, Higer has implemented special optimizations in its after-sales service process for new energy vehicles, aiming to accelerate the development of local talent in the field of new energy management. To date, Higer has established nearly 40 after-sales service stations in Africa alone.

The "friendship" between Higer and the African continent extends beyond providing high-quality products, it encompasses the embodiment of "deep cooperation" in action. In 2017, Higer embarked on a joint venture with a local Algerian agent to establish the KD factory. This move has undeniably propelled the advancement of the local bus manufacturing industry. This mode of localized investment in factory construction, through bus assembly and the assimilation of advanced manufacturing technology and experience, is effectively driving the development of Algeria's manufacturing industry.

Over the past 20 years of entering the African market, Higer has witnessed the birth of African "legends" through its impeccable service in numerous grand events. For instance, the Pan Arab Games, the CAF Confederation Cup, and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Leveraging the extensive platform offered by the Forum, Higer is dedicated to deepening cooperation with African countries in the field of public transport and enhancing the level of collaboration continually. On the journey of the new era, Higer will make unremitting endeavor and strive to provide greener and more environmentally-friendly solutions for traveling around the African continent, illuminating the African landscape with the vibrant blossoms of friendship and unleashing the dazzling brilliance of developmental momentum across the African continent.
