Recently, CCTV-2's "Economic Information Broadcast" reported in depth on Cummins' collaboration with Chinese partners to facilitate energy transition and bring clean power to the global market.

As a global leader in power technology, Cummins recognized the vast potential of the Chinese market in the mid-to-late 1970s. In 1975, Cummins became the engine supplier for heavy mining trucks imported by China National Heavy Machinery Corporation, marking its entry as one of the first foreign enterprises into China. Since then, Cummins has taken root in China, growing alongside the industry and its partners to help customers succeed.

With the rapid development of China's economy, Cummins seized the opportunity to sign license agreements with domestic original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to authorize the production of diesel engine products. Cummins engines became the power choice for many industries. In the 1990s, Cummins joined hands with leading local enterprises to establish joint ventures, opening a new chapter in China. Today, Cummins has set up 37 institutions in China, including 26 manufacturing enterprises, with a total investment exceeding one billion US dollars.

In 2006, the establishment of the Cummins East Asia Research and Development Center marked a new milestone in Cummins' development in China. As Cummins' largest technical center outside the United States, the East Asia R&D Center has been involved in product applications and standard customization in the Chinese commercial vehicle market. Recently, the East Asia R&D Center launched a multi-fuel engine platform, utilizing a common base structure for diesel, natural gas, hydrogen, and other fuels. Products developed through this platform are not only applied in China but also sold overseas.

At the recently concluded 7th China International Import Expo, Cummins' Accelera hydrogen fuel cell products, known for their lightweight, long endurance, and fast charging capabilities, received widespread attention as an ideal choice for long-distance and high-load scenarios. The 120 kW to 300 kW high-power hydrogen fuel cell products have set a Guinness World Record for a single hydrogen refill driving distance of 2,906 kilometers, demonstrating Cummins' leading position in the field of hydrogen energy.

From diesel engines to multi-energy platforms and now hydrogen fuel cells, Cummins' collaboration with the Chinese market has continued to deepen. This partnership has not only witnessed the green transformation of the Chinese economy but also integrated Chinese wisdom into the global innovation network. Looking ahead, Cummins will continue to forge ahead with the Chinese market, jointly ushering in a new era of green power and sustainable development.
