Golden Dragon Bus Invited to Participate in the 2025 CCVIA

On February 22nd, the 2025 China Commercial Vehicles Industry Assembly (CCVIA), hosted by the China Automobile Dealers Association, opened grandly in Xiamen, Fujian Province. As the annual event in China's commercial vehicle sector, the conference attracted numerous experts and enterprise representatives from the commercial vehicle industry to gather and discuss industry development trends, exchange cutting-edge technologies, and innovative experiences. Among them, the export session became the focus of the conference, with particular attention paid to the topic of new energy bus exports.

Export Market Embraces Growth Opportunities, Golden Dragon Reports Overseas Success

As one of the leading companies in China's commercial vehicle exports, Golden Dragon Bus was invited to participate. Wang Jinji, Vice General Manager of Golden Dragon International Trading Company, delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Golden Dragon at the conference, providing an in-depth analysis of the overseas market development of China's new energy buses and sharing Golden Dragon's successful experiences in overseas markets.

According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China's bus exports achieved remarkable results in 2024, especially with new energy buses becoming the biggest growth driver, up 55.62% year-on-year. The overseas market size exceeded USD 2.1 billion and continues to expand. Golden Dragon Buses performed outstandingly in this growth wave, continuing the upward momentum of the previous two years. In 2024, it exported 8,592 buses of various types, with an export value of approximately USD 420 million. The number of exports increased by 24% year-on-year, ranking second in the industry. Among them, the export volume of new energy buses exceeded 1,400 units, with an export value of over USD 130 million. In the past three years, it has provided new energy products to 31 countries and regions, with cumulative exports exceeding 5,600 units and sales exceeding USD 500 million. Golden Dragon has become a pioneer in exploring overseas markets for China's new energy buses, contributing to the global value chain upgrading of Chinese brands.

In recent years, the concept of global green travel has become increasingly popular, and the new energy automobile industry has ushered in a golden period of vigorous development. After more than a decade of independent research and development and technological breakthroughs, Chinese bus companies, led by Golden Dragon, have made leapfrog developments in new technologies, production processes, and cost control. Some key technologies have reached the world's leading level, forming a complete product chain and supply chain manufacturing advantage. Bus products perform well in terms of quality, energy consumption, comfort, and other indicators, narrowing the gap with international brands and even surpassing them in some aspects. Taking Golden Dragon Buses as an example, its new energy buses have excellent performance in the core systems of battery, electric drive, and electric control, forming unique competitiveness in lightweighting, energy consumption, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Its new energy commercial vehicle solutions have been fully implemented in key countries and regions worldwide, widely recognized internationally.

Deep Cultivation of Markets, Golden Dragon Delivers a "New Answer Sheet" for Group Export

In terms of regional advantages, the "Belt and Road" initiative has opened up broad space for the export of China's new energy buses. Golden Dragon Buses actively responds to the initiative and has a deep layout in countries and regions along the route, becoming the Chinese bus company with the most KD factories established overseas. From Vietnam and Thailand in Southeast Asia, to Kazakhstan in Central Asia, and to Ethiopia in Africa, it can be said to be "blooming globally" with a total of 13 KD projects, continuously writing wonderful stories of "entry, deepening, and integration". For example, in Ethiopia, where electric vehicle-related policies were promulgated in 2022, Golden Dragon Buses seized the opportunity and collaborated with local partners to successfully win an order for 150 pure electric light buses and 100 pure electric 12-meter bus kits. This is the first large order for pure electric KD kit buses in Ethiopia and even the entire African region. The project is the first new energy KD project established by a Chinese bus company in an East African country, creating a new model for capacity cooperation between China and Ethiopia, and adding new highlights to BRICS cooperation and joint construction of the "Belt and Road". It is worth mentioning that this project also achieved the "group export" of the battery, electric drive, and electric control systems. Golden Dragon, together with supply chain companies such as charging piles, charging equipment, and batteries, took root in the local area, realizing the overseas output of China's new energy bus production capacity and technology, and allowing the "China solution" and "China standards" to take root overseas. This has broadened the "going-out" path for Chinese buses and continuously written new chapters in overseas markets.
