With the support of national key R&D plans and special projects of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the project focuses on three common challenges: low operational efficiency of environmental perception models for high-level intelligent vehicles, poor safety of control systems, and low reliability of test evaluations. After years of close industry-academia-research collaboration, core technologies such as efficient environmental perception, safe control, and reliable testing have been developed, forming an efficient, safe, and reliable autonomous driving technology system. Based on the project's achievements, 23 national invention patents have been authorized, 6 national standards have been formulated, and 30 SCI/EI indexed papers have been published, including 10 in JCR Q1 journals. The project has generated over RMB 4.003 billion in new direct sales and RMB 1.73 billion in new profits. The project's outcomes have been applied to multiple Golden Dragon vehicle models, demonstrating strong competitiveness in domestic and international automotive markets and achieving significant economic and social benefits.

The project achieves a correct identification rate of 99.6% for typical weld defects and a relative error of less than 7% in defect size detection (leading internationally). It has been recognized by review experts such as Academicians Tu Shantong and Tan Jianrong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, who believe that "the project's achievements have significant technical advantages and competitiveness" and "are domestically leading and internationally advanced overall."
