www.chinabuses.org: The engine manufacturer Cummins (CMI) expressed that their profits in the last season last year increased more than fivefold thanks to the strong needs from China, India and Brazil etc emerging markets, adding large increasing sales of engines and spare parts of coaches for the new emission standards will come into force in 2010 in America.
However, it will be rather challenging for Cummins in the first half year this year, especially in the U.S. as well as in Europe, said analyst.
As much as 80% decrease of Cummins sales volumes of vans and city buses in North America in the first half year is possible based on current orders and outlooks.
